Tejona House is a development project rooted in environmental sensitivity, designed to seamlessly integrate with its natural surroundings. Envisioned as a temporary temple reclaimed by vegetation, the house serves as a sanctuary that honors nature.
Each zone within the house is treated with intention, giving every space a unique identity and atmosphere while contributing to a cohesive whole. At the core of the design is a reinforced concrete exoskeleton: a double-height platform supported by a perimeter ambulatory structure that frames the project like a sacred pavilion. Within this structural framework lies a large, glazed, reticulated box that houses the primary living spaces. Nested within this transparent volume are a series of smaller, opaque inner boxes that provide shelter for the most private and intimate areas of the home. The interplay between these layers, solid and void, transparent and enclosed, creates a dynamic living experience grounded in both openness and retreat.
