Briarcliff is development project set on 3.5 rural acres in historic Franklin, Michigan, it's a home composed in two acts. It has a refined exterior with a bold, expressive interior. Designed for a close-knit family with a love for music and theater, the house artfully balances elegance with a sense of play. Drawing inspiration from the timeless silhouettes of Michigan farmsteads, the design honors its historic context while embracing modern construction methods, materials, and detailing. The home is organised into four distinct pavilions, each with a dedicated function: the primary bedroom suite, a central living and entertaining space, a private family area, and a garage.
These volumes establish a clear spatial hierarchy, separating public and private zones.
